The program offers alumni the opportunity to participate in a unique group travel experience that provides a global, integrative and personal learning experience.
“Based on the results of a recent alumni survey, there was a strong interest in an alumni travel program, which encouraged us to develop this opportunity,” says Jenna Villani ’11 MA, associate director of Alumni Engagement at Montclair State. “We’re pleased to offer this opportunity to alumni!”
Join us on the first alumni trip, taking place June 8 through June 17, 2020. Travel Italy and discover the rolling hills of the scenic Tuscan and Umbrian countryside, explore medieval hill towns and visit the birthplace of St. Francis of Assisi. Visit a historic winery in the heart of the Chianti region and enjoy a chef-led cooking class with lunch. Discover the masterpieces of the Renaissance in Florence and see hot glass transformed into exquisite art on Murano Island. Linger in romantic Venice for two nights discovering its treasures. Your journey comes to a close in Milan and includes a visit to the magnificent Gothic cathedral – the Duomo.
“I am mainly excited about the Italy trip due to the nature of the structured schedule and planned tours, which are guided and make me feel comfortable and safe while traveling abroad,” says Michelle R. ’18, who is looking forward to her first trip with her alma mater. “It also provides the opportunity to make sure you get the most out of the trip by planning visits to the most popular sites in Italy.”
