Hasini’s transition from HR analytics to Business Intelligence showcases her passion for extracting meaningful insights from data. With a PGDM in Marketing & HR and a Master of Science in Business Analytics, she blends strategic business acumen with technical expertise to drive impactful decisions. Currently, as a Graduate Student Data Analyst at Montclair State University, she applies her skills in data visualization, reporting, and business intelligence tools to optimize financial decision-making.

Ali Haider served as a Marketing Manager at a startup in Seattle, Washington where he honed his expertise across various marketing platforms such as social media, email, community, and newsletters. “I would like to impart my extensive marketing background to fellow students and illustrate how the MSBA program empowers me to enhance data-driven decision-making abilities.”

Priyanka Kapoor has 3 years of experience in data analysis and program management with leading e-commerce companies in India. Passionate about data, she enjoys uncovering insights and solving problems. “For me, data is not just numbers – it’s a story waiting to be told. As a graduate assistant, I believe in helping others grow through knowledge-sharing and I  am always excited to assist students in any way I can. I’m thrilled to be a part of students’ growth stories, offering my own experiences and insights to help them confidently tackle challenges and find their path to success.”

Payal has two years of experience in human resources, focusing on using data to enhance employee satisfaction and optimize organizational processes. “I chose to pursue the MSBA at Montclair State University to bridge the gap between my HR background and business analytics, aiming to develop advanced data skills to make informed, data-driven decisions. I’m passionate about helping prospective students, especially international ones, understand how the program can empower them to leverage analytics in their careers. Olayemi Olugosi is a graduate student at Montclair State University pursuing a dual master’s degree in business analytics and business administration. “I have a passion for using data to solve real-world business challenges. I specialize in transforming raw data into actionable insights that enhance decision-making, boost operational efficiency, and drive sustainable growth. I aim to become a data strategy consultant, helping organizations tackle complex problems through innovative analytics solutions. Outside of academics, I am dedicated to mentoring young women, empowering them with the skills and confidence to thrive in business and achieve financial independence. Chrispin is a Master’s of Science student in Business Analytics at Montclair State University, with a deep-seated expertise in data analytics and proficiency across programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and SAS. His professional background spans significant roles in IT audit and data-driven decision-making at major companies like Redington Middle East and Africa and Safaricom PLC. Chrispin chose MSU for its dynamic blend of theoretical and practical analytics training that aligns closely with his career aspirations in leveraging data to drive business improvement. Originating from Kenya, he is passionate about mentoring international students,  offering guidance on navigating the academic and cultural challenges of studying in the U.S. His aim is to ease their transition and inspire them to maximize their educational opportunities abroad.

Kristine chose Montclair State University for her master’s in Business Analytics because it offers an affordable education while being close to the city, providing great academic and career opportunities. Her background is in healthcare management, but she developed a strong interest in analytics through her experiences working with data-driven decision-making. “To build my technical skills, I’ve worked on projects involving statistical analysis, SQL databases, and Python for data processing. Coming from a non-technical background, I understand the challenges of transitioning into analytics. I hope to help prospective students by sharing my journey, offering insights, and guiding them to resources that have helped me succeed.As an international student from Taiwan, I would love to serve as an ambassador for students currently residing there. ”

With six years of experience in marketing, sales, and business strategy, Prithvi chose the MSBA program at MSU for its practical curriculum and emphasis on real-world applications. “My background in SQL, Python, and data visualization has enabled me to drive business performance through data-driven decision-making. This program has further sharpened my analytical skills and prepared me to tackle complex business challenges. I look forward to supporting prospective students by sharing my experiences and providing guidance on how to leverage the program to advance their careers, especially for those transitioning into analytics. Shubham Shivekar (Shubh) is a Master’s in Business Analytics student at Montclair State University, currently working as a Graduate Assistant in Student Communications. I chose to pursue my degree at MSU after carefully evaluating factors like course structure, academic rigor, student life, abundant resources, and most importantly, its proximity to NYC. My background spans IT service management, customer service, digital marketing, and disaster recovery, where I often worked with data but realized I needed to equip myself with the latest analytics skills. As an international student, I know how overwhelming this journey can be, and I’d love to help by sharing my experiences, insights on student life, and tips on making the most of MSU’s opportunities. Outside academics, I enjoy public speaking, networking, and cooking – a skill I picked up after moving to the USA!”

With a background in accounting and commerce, along with three years of experience as a tax analyst at Deloitte and KPMG, Sanober developed an interest in technology while collaborating on automating tax tools. This inspired her to pursue a Master’s in Business Analytics, combining her business expertise with technical skills. “As a Student/Alumni Ambassador, I aim to guide prospective students by sharing my journey—from corporate life to graduate studies including the experience where I got the opportunity to work as a Graduate Assistant for the IMBA department—and helping them navigate challenges and opportunities. I want to offer mentorship, foster a sense of belonging, and inspire others to achieve their goals. For me, this role is about building a supportive community where students feel empowered to succeed.”

Karan Keniya is an MS in Business Analytics student at Montclair State University with a background in business marketing. With 2 years of professional experience, he has developed expertise in client engagement, project management, and strategic planning. “I am enthusiastic about harnessing the power of data to solve complex business problems and create measurable outcomes. I will be happy to provide students with practical insights into data-driven decisions that affect business performance. I look forward to connecting to orient discussions that foster a cooperative environment wherein we can all learn, grow, and put data-driven strategies to good use. ”

Alfia chose MSU for its strong analytics program and supportive learning environment. With a background in analytics, she has developed skills in data analysis, statistical modeling, and problem-solving through coursework and projects. “Although I don’t have prior work experience, I’ve actively engaged in hands-on learning, collaborating on academic projects that apply analytics to real-world scenarios. Shouvik has eight years experience in data management and analytics. “I chose to pursue an MSBA at Montclair State University because I sought a program that could elevate my skills in advanced analytics, statistics, and machine learning that was also cost effective. This MSBA program not only met this criteria, but also provided a supportive environment with resources like career services and mentoring programs. Gopal has worked for Accenture Solutions (India) where he honed his analytical skills, specializing in cloud transformation and migration. “I aim to inspire prospective students by sharing my experiences and emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and adaptation. I believe my journey serves as a testament to the diverse paths one can take to succeed in the field of analytics. Moreover, I’m confident that MSU’s program, with its comprehensive curriculum and experienced faculty, can provide prospective students with the tools they need to excel in the field of business analytics.”

Bhoomika is a Data Engineer at Tesla.  Her professional experience includes working for American Express as a Lead for Core Reporting and Analytics.  “I’d like to share my knowledge and industry experience with students.  Preparing students for the future is my motto here and I would be happy to have 1:1 sessions and guide students in person with all their questions”.

Sarju is an adept professional with over 7 years of experience in accounting, auditing, and Anti Money Laundering (AML). “I’d love to offer insights into university life, the MSBA program, and campus culture to prospective students. Drawing from my extensive auditing and AML expertise, I am eager to share the practical applications of Business Analytics in my field and across other various sectors in today’s data-driven world.”

Ravi comes from a background in the Product and Enterprise Software industry. “I was drawn to Montclair State University because of its curriculum specifically designed for data analysis and predictive modeling, which are essential skills for market readiness. Now, as an alumnus, I am enthusiastic about guiding and mentoring prospective students.”

Giuli is a Human Resources Technician for the New Jersey Army National Guard. With over 15 years of experience in Human Resources, she has always felt compelled to help people. As a graduate of MSU’s Master of Science in Human Resources Analytics program, Giuli is eager to share her experience: “I hope that I can provide prospective students with a sense of reassurance that their commitment to the program is worth the investment and quell any fears that may be prohibiting them from joining the program.”

Jaykumar is a former Dual MBA/MSBA student at Montclair State University. He has 5 years of work experience as a Business Data Analyst.  “My major piece of advice to prospective students is to excel in Python and SQL languages, given a growing demand for professionals in those skills. Jordan is the Director of Talent Analytics at Prudential where he oversees and executes talent analytics projects supporting the translation of people data into insights and business outcomes. Prior to that, he was an analyst at JP Morgan Chase focusing on process improvement, data standardization, and creation of automated reporting solutions.

Wenting is a Lead Analyst / Anti-money Laundering Prevention at Bank of New York Mellon. “As an international student originally from China, I would like to help prospective students with strategically structuring their study plan to successfully complete the MSBA program and make themselves marketable after graduation.”

Bijen is a Data Analyst at Valley Bank where he is responsible for improving processes and developing management reporting using SQL, Power BI, Power Query, and Python. He is also an Adjunct Lecturer at a University within the NY/NJ Metro area. MSBA Program’s rigorous curriculum helped Bijan make a career transition from accounting to business analytics.
