SARA SHAMSUTDINOVA, Dual MBA/MSBA STUDENT

Sara has an extensive background working in development finance for World Bank Group. “The banking sector is a prime example of how data and digital technology are adopted for analytics-driven strategies and tools. The MSBA program offers technical training to thrive in data-driven age and make a meaningful career growth. I’d love to support students to share my experience.”

Hasini’s transition from HR analytics to Business Intelligence showcases her passion for extracting meaningful insights from data. With a PGDM in Marketing & HR and a Master of Science in Business Analytics, she blends strategic business acumen with technical expertise to drive impactful decisions. Currently, as a Graduate Student Data Analyst at Montclair State University, she applies her skills in data visualization, reporting, and business intelligence tools to optimize financial decision-making.

Ali Haider served as a Marketing Manager at a startup in Seattle, Washington where he honed his expertise across various marketing platforms such as social media, email, community, and newsletters. “I would like to impart my extensive marketing background to fellow students and illustrate how the MSBA program empowers me to enhance data-driven decision-making abilities.”

Priyanka Kapoor has 3 years of experience in data analysis and program management with leading e-commerce companies in India. Passionate about data, she enjoys uncovering insights and solving problems. “For me, data is not just numbers – it’s a story waiting to be told. As a graduate assistant, I believe in helping others grow through knowledge-sharing and I  am always excited to assist students in any way I can. I’m thrilled to be a part of students’ growth stories, offering my own experiences and insights to help them confidently tackle challenges and find their path to success.”

Payal has two years of experience in human resources, focusing on using data to enhance employee satisfaction and optimize organizational processes. “I chose to pursue the MSBA at Montclair State University to bridge the gap between my HR background and business analytics, aiming to develop advanced data skills to make informed, data-driven decisions. I’m passionate about helping prospective students, especially international ones, understand how the program can empower them to leverage analytics in their careers. Olayemi Olugosi is a graduate student at Montclair State University pursuing a dual master’s degree in business analytics and business administration. “I have a passion for using data to solve real-world business challenges. I specialize in transforming raw data into actionable insights that enhance decision-making, boost operational efficiency, and drive sustainable growth. I aim to become a data strategy consultant, helping organizations tackle complex problems through innovative analytics solutions. Outside of academics, I am dedicated to mentoring young women, empowering them with the skills and confidence to thrive in business and achieve financial independence. Chrispin is a Master’s of Science student in Business Analytics at Montclair State University, with a deep-seated expertise in data analytics and proficiency across programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and SAS. His professional background spans significant roles in IT audit and data-driven decision-making at major companies like Redington Middle East and Africa and Safaricom PLC. Chrispin chose MSU for its dynamic blend of theoretical and practical analytics training that aligns closely with his career aspirations in leveraging data to drive business improvement. Originating from Kenya, he is passionate about mentoring international students,  offering guidance on navigating the academic and cultural challenges of studying in the U.S. His aim is to ease their transition and inspire them to maximize their educational opportunities abroad.

KRISTINE LIN, MSBA Student

Kristine chose Montclair State University for her master’s in Business Analytics because it offers an affordable education while being close to the city, providing great academic and career opportunities. Her background is in healthcare management, but she developed a strong interest in analytics through her experiences working with data-driven decision-making. “To build my technical skills, I’ve worked on projects involving statistical analysis, SQL databases, and Python for data processing. Coming from a non-technical background, I understand the challenges of transitioning into analytics. I hope to help prospective students by sharing my journey, offering insights, and guiding them to resources that have helped me succeed.As an international student from Taiwan, I would love to serve as an ambassador for students currently residing there. ”

With six years of experience in marketing, sales, and business strategy, Prithvi chose the MSBA program at MSU for its practical curriculum and emphasis on real-world applications. “My background in SQL, Python, and data visualization has enabled me to drive business performance through data-driven decision-making. This program has further sharpened my analytical skills and prepared me to tackle complex business challenges. I look forward to supporting prospective students by sharing my experiences and providing guidance on how to leverage the program to advance their careers, especially for those transitioning into analytics. Shubham Shivekar (Shubh) is a Master’s in Business Analytics student at Montclair State University, currently working as a Graduate Assistant in Student Communications. I chose to pursue my degree at MSU after carefully evaluating factors like course structure, academic rigor, student life, abundant resources, and most importantly, its proximity to NYC. My background spans IT service management, customer service, digital marketing, and disaster recovery, where I often worked with data but realized I needed to equip myself with the latest analytics skills. As an international student, I know how overwhelming this journey can be, and I’d love to help by sharing my experiences, insights on student life, and tips on making the most of MSU’s opportunities. Outside academics, I enjoy public speaking, networking, and cooking – a skill I picked up after moving to the USA!”

With a background in accounting and commerce, along with three years of experience as a tax analyst at Deloitte and KPMG, Sanober developed an interest in technology while collaborating on automating tax tools. This inspired her to pursue a Master’s in Business Analytics, combining her business expertise with technical skills. “As a Student/Alumni Ambassador, I aim to guide prospective students by sharing my journey—from corporate life to graduate studies including the experience where I got the opportunity to work as a Graduate Assistant for the IMBA department—and helping them navigate challenges and opportunities. I want to offer mentorship, foster a sense of belonging, and inspire others to achieve their goals. For me, this role is about building a supportive community where students feel empowered to succeed.”
