Tricia Matthew, Associate Professor of English, will co-edit Race in Nineteenth-Century Literature and Culture, a new series for Oxford University Press, with Manu Chander (Rutgers-Newark). 这个系列关注的是种族和帝国的逻辑,这些逻辑构成了十九世纪漫长的文学诞生的概念和物质世界。 Matthew and Chander have been collaborating since 2016 when they edited a special section on abolitionist literature for European Romantic Review. Matthew’s recent work has been published in Frankenstein in Theory: A Critical Anatomy (Bloomsbury Press), Texas Studies in Literature and Language, and the Times Literary Supplement. She is the editor of a forthcoming special issue of Studies in Romanticism (Race, Blackness, and Romanticism) and is currently writing a book on abolition, material culture, and gender under advance contract with Princeton University Press.
