Days after receiving a nomination for the prestigious National Association of Broadcasters’ Marconi Award for “College Radio Station of the Year,” the 大学广播公司. (CBI) announced this week that 赛事中 is a finalist for six awards. Winners will be announced at CBI’s annual National Student Electronic Media Conference on October 29 in Orlando.

In May, 赛事中 General Manager Anabella Poland was nominated by her peers for the 乔尔·威勒奖 which is named after one of CBI’s founding members. 该奖项颁发给顾问、教职员工，以表彰他们对学生电子媒体的杰出奉献和服务。

这些提名为今年赛事中获得的一系列顶级行业奖项划上了句号。 In March at the 81st  Annual  Intercollegiate Broadcasting System Conference and 奖, the station earned top honors as Best College Station (+more than 10,000 students), Best Program Director, Best Business Manager and Best Use of Sound Effects.

“It is an honor to be nominated for any award, but for our students to be recognized during such unpredictable and challenging circumstances speaks to their resiliency, creativity and embracing our university’s motto, 及时行乐,” Poland said. “我很高兴能在新学年与我们的老学生和新生合作，继续制作有影响力、屡获殊荣的内容。”

赛事中 is one of five media organizations on campus, including 的Montclarion (newspaper), 新闻实验室 (multi-platform digital outlet) 鹰通信 (strategic communications agency) and the 红鹰体育网, which covers 18 varsity sports at the university in conjunction with the Department of Intercollegiate 体育运动.
