Your Input Matters: University Search Committee Process

We invite you to participate in a brief survey designed to gather your feedback on the University-wide search committee process. The purpose of this survey is to assess key elements of the process and identify opportunities for improvement. Your feedback will support efforts to increase the effectiveness, consistency, and fairness of our search practices, while also strengthening our ability to attract top-tier candidates committed to Montclair’s values. The survey closes Monday, May 5 at 5 p.m. It should take less than five minutes to complete and all responses are anonymous. Interested in being featured? Fill out the form and schedule a photoshoot with our student photographers. If you would like examples of our photoshoots, view our photo gallery. You can also nominate someone whose story deserves to be shared.

A Day in the Life

University Communications and Marketing is always looking for stories to tell and share about our students, faculty and staff. We are interested in showcasing members of our University community who are doing something noteworthy — whether in the classroom, through research, internships, jobs, hobbies or unique personal experiences. If you or someone you know has a compelling story to share, please complete the A Day in the Life submission form. Faculty and staff may also submit on behalf of students who express interest.

  • Evan Matthews (Kinesiology) was cited in this Vox article talking about the importance of individualized exercise goals over universal fitness benchmarks.

Kudos

  • To Temeshia N. Lemons (University College), who has been elected as the President-Elect of the Association of Deans & Directors of University Colleges & Undergraduate Studies (AD&D). As President-Elect, she will begin her two-year leadership term in 火狐体育-2026, transitioning to the role of President for the 2026-2027 term. In these positions, she will guide the association’s strategic vision, foster innovation in undergraduate education, and strengthen connections among higher education leaders.
  • To Casey Coleman and Julia Del Bagno (Center for Student Involvement), for organizing World’s Fair Day 火狐体育. A huge thank you to all who participated!
  • To the Office of Summer and Winter Sessions and Ashley Hinkson (Dining Services, BCMSU), who had an amazing time meeting the students at the Bloomfield campus Summer Sessions Takeover Event! Faculty and staff stopped by to introduce themselves and find out more about summer courses for their students. Dining Services assisted in adding a creative touch that made the event so beautiful and extra special!
  • To Maria Stanish (Nutrition and Food Studies), who has been awarded The New Jersey Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Carolyn Sebastianelli Distinguished Member Award for 火狐体育. This award honors an NJAND member who has been a role model, demonstrating commitment to the nutritional needs of the community, leadership, mentoring, service to others, and professionalism and high ethical standards in practice.
  • To Catherine Boscher-Murphy (Financial Aid), who was honored by the New Jersey Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NJASFAA) through the renaming of their annual Young Leaders Award to the Catherine Boscher-Murphy Leaders Award. The recipient of this award is selected by the NJASFAA President to recognize the outstanding contribution to NJASFAA and the financial aid profession by an individual who is advancing within the association. It is a prestigious award with one annual recipient.
