In uncertain markets, it’s easy to let fear or excitement guide our investment moves—but staying the course could be your strongest strategy. Join us for an eye-opening session with Frank Booth from Voya, as he shares insights on how to manage the emotional and economic ups and downs of investing. Faculty and staff at any stage of their financial journey—whether you’re planning for retirement or simply curious about today’s market trends are encouraged to attend. Social Grill is Open for the Summer
Social Grill is officially open for the summer semester and we’re serving up delicious made-to-order classics. Whether you’re in the mood for burgers, empanadas or a chicken caesar wrap, we’ve got your lunch covered! Social Grill is located in the Student Center and is open Monday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Center for Writing Excellence
The Center for Writing Excellence is available to all University employees and open all summer! The CWE provides free, confidential appointments for feedback on all types of writing including professional documents, emails and memos, and class assignments. We can also help with long term goals such as improving general writing skills. Choose between face-to-face and online appointments. Summer hours are Monday through Thursday 11a.m. to 7 p.m. (face-to-face and online) and Friday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (online only).

Employee Newsletters Summer Schedule
In The Know and the ITK Weekly Events Digest will alternate each Monday throughout the summer and will return to a regular schedule the week of August 11. The deadline for submissions for both newsletters will continue to be no later than Wednesday the week prior for inclusion. If you have any questions, contact Brittany John, Internal Communications Editor at johnbr@montclair.edu.
Campus Maintenance and Improvements
- The sidewalk to the east of the Student Center will now be closed through Friday, August 1 for Student Center roof repairs.
- Expect traffic delays due to roadway striping throughout campus on Fridays, June 13 and June 27. Temporary detours will be established to direct traffic around roadwork, but no road closures are expected. Please plan accordingly.
- Lot 9, located on Skyline Way, will be closed until Friday, August 15 for maintenance and improvement projects at Freeman Hall.

- To Mark Rotella (Humanities and Social Sciences), who was interviewed on Il Reggino during his recent visit to Calabria. Professor Rotella discussed his Calabrese origins and highlighted the beauty of Calabria, which typically falls victim to stereotypes.
- To Jaime Grinberg (Educational Foundations), who participated in a panel and debate about the tragic phenomenon of cars and other vehicles being used as weapons in public spaces.
