Kevin Bradley '84

要想成为一个高效的企业领导者,就必须做出正确的决策。 For Kevin Bradley, it was key to his start. “As I look back now, choosing to attend Montclair State was the single most defining decision in my career,” he says.

Bradley earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Montclair State in 1984. He now serves as U.S. Steel Executive Vice President and CFO, providing financial leadership and oversight for the global enterprise.

“Montclair State was right for me. With the support of my family and the education Montclair State provided, I have been able to navigate an exciting career across a highly competitive business landscape. I have been incredibly fortunate, both personally and professionally.”

Bradley was recognized with an honorary Doctor of Letters degree at Montclair State University’s Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 24 at Prudential Center in Newark.

“Kevin Bradley, growing up in West Orange and very proud of his blue collar heritage, is the quintessential example of the impact and opportunity afforded by public higher education and the quality of the Montclair State degree,” says Montclair State University President Susan A. Cole.

Demonstrating his commitment to his alma mater, Bradley generously gives back by serving on the Feliciano School of Business Advisory Board, chairing the Board’s Marketing and Brand Enhancement Committee, and being a generous contributor to the Feliciano School of Business. He is a resource and role model for both students and faculty, helping the School provide opportunities to equip students with the skills, knowledge and experience they need to excel in the global marketplace as business leaders.

“Montclair State keeps you grounded and instills a mental toughness,” says Bradley. “Our graduates are ready… they have everything they need to be successful and they are eager to get out there and make something happen.”
