University and Partners Break Ground on Paterson Housing Project
Phase 2 of One Square Mile initiative commences with Passaic County Habitat for Humanity Project.

University Names Fatma Mili Interim Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences
Mili will serve as the lead academic and administrative officer for the College, which offers a wide range of programs in the liberal arts such as Psychology, English, Political Science and Law, History, Philosophy, and Child Advocacy.

University Appoints Erin J. McCann as the Associate Vice President for Campus Auxiliary Services
McCann will oversee key auxiliary services, including dining services, the University Ice Arena, University Bookstore and student ID services.

Workday Student Team Hosts Collaborative Workshop
The multi-day interactive team workshop brought together nearly 100 participants and included decision-making sessions, testing workshops, and individual team breakout sessions.

Attend Chief Kieran Barrett’s Retirement Clap Out
The University Police Department invites the campus community to join us as we send Chief Barrett on to celebrate his retirement with a clap out at police headquarters on Monday, June 30th at 2:30 p.m.
Fall Tuition Waiver and Reimbursement Deadline
The fall tuition waiver and reimbursement deadline is Friday, August 1. Applications must be submitted to the Division of Human Resources via Workday. Visit the tuition waivers webpage for instructions. Contact hr@montclair.edu with any questions.
Group X Fitness Classes at the Student Recreation Center
Group X fitness classes have returned to the Student Recreation Center! Join us Monday through Thursday for energizing in-person Cycling and HIIT classes, or unwind with our 30-minute virtual Yoga sessions from the comfort of home. All employees of Montclair State University and Bloomfield College can access the Student Recreation Center for free through July 31, including full access to our Group X fitness classes.

Register to participate in Montclair’s 4th Annual Student Appreciation Week! From October 6-10, Montclair and Bloomfields campuses will come alive with events and activities celebrating our amazing students. Last year included 87 events with more than 5,500 participants. The University has been invited to participate in Montclair Township’s Independence Day parade on Friday, July 4! You’ll be at the heart of the festivities riding on our parade float or walking alongside through the streets of Montclair with mascots Rocky, Roxy and Deacon. Register to secure your spot!
Social Grill is Open for the Summer
Social Grill is officially open for the summer semester and we’re serving up delicious made-to-order classics. Whether you’re in the mood for burgers, empanadas or a chicken caesar wrap, we’ve got your lunch covered! Social Grill is located in the Student Center and is open Monday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
Center for Writing Excellence
The Center for Writing Excellence is available to all University employees and open all summer! The CWE provides free, confidential appointments for feedback on all types of writing including professional documents, emails and memos, and class assignments. We can also help with long term goals such as improving general writing skills. Choose between face-to-face and online appointments. Summer hours are Monday through Thursday 11a.m.-7 p.m. (in-person and online) and Friday 11 a.m.-4 p.m. (online only).
