Milton Fuentes Invited to Speak at an A.P.A. Capitol Hill Briefing on D.A.C.A.

Milton Fuentes, professor in the Department of Psychology, has been invited to speak at a Capitol Hill briefing sponsored by the American Psychological Association titled "The Dream Act of 2017: A Scientific Perspective" on Nov. 29, 2017. A former president of the National Latina/o Psychological Association, Fuentes will travel to Washington D.C. to speak on this panel of experts discussing immigration policy from a psychological perspective.
Fuentes graduated from the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology at Rutgers University with a PsyD in clinical psychology. His research focuses on Latina/o and multicultural psychology, child/ family psychology, pedagogy and motivational interviewing. In addition to serving as the 2012 president of the National Latina/o Psychological Association, Fuentes also serves on APA’s Committee on Ethnic Minority Affairs. He is a consultant to several programs, including the Violence Prevention Office of the American Psychological Association. Fuentes is licensed to practice psychology in New Jersey and New York.
